Welcome to my Earthen Spirit home.

Reiki is a Japanese word that means "Divine Life Force Energy". It is an age old, hands on healing technique that extends well beyond the days of Jesus and Buddha. Though it was re-introduced to the world in the early 1900's by a Japanese Buddhist monk named Dr. Mikao Usui, it's origins are truly shamanic in nature and Reiki is actually a form of shamanism.
In its simplest form, during a Reiki session, a person will experience stress relief and feel wonderfully relaxed. On a deeper level, it works towards your healing intention (be it for mind, body and/or spirit) and is complimentary to any other healing modality or therapeutic technique. I liken a reiki session to an 'energetic tune-up'.

Reiki is not a religion but is very spiritual in nature.

Shamanism is the most ancient of healing modalities dating back thousands of years and is still used and practiced by indigenous medicine people all over the world today. The word shaman itself means "one who sees in the dark", as a shaman is able to 'journey' through the mind's eye to gather and retrieve information for healing purposes. Because this healing energy is divine in nature, it only works for the highest good.

We are living in a very challenging and changing world - one that is truly in need of spiritual support. Now more than ever, medicine people all over the world are stepping out from the protected constructs of the tribe to make themselves 'mainstream' available. In alignment with ancient prophecy, these medicine people know the time is nigh to step forward and offer their healing practice to those who are seeking. They say that when the student is ready the teacher will appear.

The human race is beginning to shift their conscious way of being; evident with all of the green efforts and sustainable living movements being enacted all over our planet. Energy healing practices fall in line with these very movements for without first sustaining ourselves, how can we continue to sustain our planet?

Whether you are looking for stress reduction techniques, wishing to break out of old habits or patterns or trying to heal old or new wounds (be they physical/emotional/mental), energy healing is a non-invasive way and wonder full vehicle to help you get in touch with your own divine capabilities. Perhaps you are feeling the call; perhaps it is time for you to align with your divine life purpose and awaken your own natural healer within.

I offer a practice of Reiki which not only honors my teachers but Reiki's shamanic roots and includes shamanic components both in my healing sessions and certification classes.

A Reiki energy healing session will relax you and introduce you to your own subtle energy field. Reiki Certification classes will further attune you to these subtle energies by activating your energy centers located throughout your body. Once you have learned the reiki basics (Reiki I and II) and feel comfortable working with this energy, you may wish to learn the Shamanic healing component; How to Journey and Reiki Shaman classes. The shamanic component works on an even deeper level and may incorporate clearing negative energies from the aura and/or retrieving lost soul parts (which happens to each of us over the years for many different reasons).
When combined, Reiki Shamanism becomes a very powerful tool of assistance for us on our path to wholeness, well being and healing. My practice is based on this ancient level of energy healing.

We all possess this natural ability to heal ourselves - all you have to do is trust your life force and let it guide you. When we set our intentions toward healing, there truly are no limits as to what we can accomplish on our paths to becoming healthier and happier human beings.
