"Weeding out what needs to go gives more water to what needs to grow!"
Greetings all and Welcome Summer~!
I hope this finds everyone in the best of health and spirits today and enjoying something (or someone!) you love this weekend.
The Summer Solstice (traditionally June 21) heralds the return of summer and marks the longest and strongest day of the year for Grandfather Sun. Represented in the South position on the Medicine Wheel, it is the place that fuels our growth as we water and weed both our backyard and spiritual gardens. In the tradition that I follow, the color Yellow holds this place on the Medicine Wheel and energetically represents our Solar Plexus Chakra - the place where any movement of our higher selves originates. In other traditions, it is often represented as the color Red, representing the Root Chakra – our tribe, family, the blood and roots of our story. Knowing who we are, is the first step to figuring out what we came here to do so we can begin the task of our own "unfolding".
There are many paths to get there, and it’s important to remember that higher wisdom is only gained when we recognize what doesn’t work and find alternate paths towards what does. Shamanic practice is about walking in both “ordinary” and “non-ordinary” realities so that deeper meanings and clearer visions of these alternate paths open up. It is here that one may find their spirit’s true reflection and learn to navigate, discern wisdom and gain this higher understanding of life as we know it.
Learning something new brings us Knowledge – gaining the understanding of how to best use that knowledge is called Wisdom. Part of my good medicine and path in this life as a Wisdom Walker is to share the “understanding” of this knowledge, as has been shared with me along the way. This has always been my higher reflection and intention. Practice and process is what deepens this wisdom reflection.
Added to mix of Summer’s “fire it up” energy are both a Solar and Lunar Eclipse occurring respectively July 2 (New Moon) and July 16 (Full Moon). During an eclipse, a reflection is obscured, bringing opportunity for an energetic reset to occur. Following on the moon heels in August are 2 New Moons within the month, of which the 2nd is otherwise known as a Blue Moon. When pondering the old adage “once in a blue moon” one knows that these occurrences are not every day happenings. All to say, these added cosmic pulses bring potent opportunity to assist us in the way of transformation and manifestation.
If you are soul-searching this summer and ready to learn something new,I would love to assist with some understanding of this wisdom and knowledge! Please take a moment to look over my July and August offerings (see Events link to the left) and thank you in advance for sharing with others of like mind. If timing is off, please don’t hesitate to suggest those alternate paths!
Don't let the seasons or cosmic events just pass you by! This summer is prime time for restoring wholeness and healing, for letting go of what no longer serves and for finally stepping onto that path of your soul’s destiny. Learning to align with summer’s seasonal energy helps us to keep from becoming overgrown with the things that no longer serve our highest good. Now is the time to "fire up" those plans and intentions by fueling them with the natural added energies of summer’s naturally good medicine.
May you find Abundant Summer Wisdom on your Path~!
Cosmic Bear Blessings to All~!
