Welcome Spring!
The season of spring sits in the East position on the Medicine Wheel; the place where we welcome the energies of dawn, new beginnings, new life…
The power of the East is the power of Light, the power of Enlightenment. As the earth wakes up from her long winter slumber, so too must we awake from any illusions that have previously blocked our view. Now is the time to stand up and speak your truth, seeding only those thoughts and words that will harmonize your experience of mind, body and spirit. We truly are what we think! Cut the cords to the past and take forward only that which you like, leaving the rest behind.
Spring brings with it a new season of hope, growth and beginnings. Create more sacred space in your life, come unplugged for at least a little while. Sit in nature and take some time to re-plant your intentions. What do you wish to grow this year, both literally and spiritually? A power full time of year to ask yourself "who am I" "what did I come here to do" and "what am I waiting for!"

The color red typically holds this place on the Medicine Wheel and always reminds me of the deep earthen clay roots of our ancestors; that primal energy, initial stirrings of our own very existence. As we ponder the roots growing in our backyard, it's also a good time to reconnect with our ancestral history. Doing some genealogical research this spring is a great way to connect with our own earthen roots!
The sky is truly the limit in spring so why not go big and plant more gardens this year. Mother Earth beckons us to plant with love and good clean energy, not chemicals and poisons! Let your neighbors and the makers of Roundup pesticides know that WE DO NOT CONSENT to these chemicals that are poisoning our foods, our bodies, our birds and bees, our children and our future. If the bees and plants all die, we will too.
Call on and learn from your many teachers this spring. Look for the new and see hope for all people. Believe in the unseen! Now more than ever is the time to trust in your own vision and look beyond the veils of deception and distraction. Remember who you are and who you came here to be! Spring into action this month and activate something new for yourself. Choose Faith over Fear. Laugh More. It truly is a time to stretch and grow for all of us. After all, "WE are the ones we've been waiting for" say the Hopi Elders. Aho!
“Gardeners instinctively know that flowers and plants are a continuum and that the wheel of garden history will always be coming full circle.”
~ Francis Cabot Lowell
